519 million transactions carried out in PTT Bank in Turkey despite the pandemic

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu said that 519 million transactions were made at the post, telegraph, and telephone station between March 2020 and August 2021.

In the process, aid funds from 5.4 million families were delivered to their homes.

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu also mentioned that PTTBank, which has 4,473 branches across Turkey, makes life easier for citizens.

Karaismailoğlu confirmed that 519 million transactions were made from March 2020 to August 2021 when the coronavirus was spreading.

Minister Karaismailoğlu explained that the PTT e-mail service, which provides service with 3,419 PttMatik, meets the demands of citizens with 40 mobile vehicles, and provides continuous service to citizens.

The minister pointed out that the number of transactions that took place in PTTBank during the eight-month period of this year amounted to 226 million transactions, and said:

“Field teams were mobilized during the epidemic period to distribute aid to homes, as more than 5 million and 373 thousand families and 4.7 billion lira of aid were delivered by hand.

A total of 36 million and 833 thousand aid payments were made in the same period, while the amount paid was 28 billion pounds.

Karaismailoğlu emphasized that push-to-talk service provides great convenience to citizens in banking services as well as payments.

He said that the number of PTT karts services reached 6.6 million, and the number of HGS customers is close to 15 million.
