About 39 million passengers used Turkish airports during the first quarter of this year 2023.
According to data from the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the number of internal line passengers through Turkish airports increased by 17.6 percent during the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year.
On the other hand, the number of passengers on international routes increased during the same period by 48.3 percent.

According to this, the number of passengers on domestic flights reached 18 million and 755 thousand, and passengers on international flights amounted to 20 million and 193 thousand passengers.
And with transit passengers, the total number of passengers who used Turkish airports reached 38 million and 983 thousand passengers during the first quarter of 2023.
In a related context, air traffic at Turkish airports increased by 29 percent during the same period, to reach 436,550 flights.
