During the past 12 hours, 131 earthquakes occurred in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Mugla State, southwestern Turkey.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said in a statement that the strength of the largest of these tremors was 5.5 and the smallest was 0.8 on the Richter scale.
The statement indicated that AFAD monitors earthquake activity in Turkey and its surroundings around the clock, seven days a week.
