The University of Tripoli, in northern Lebanon, witnessed on Saturday the inauguration ceremony of a solar energy system that was secured by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
The ceremony was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Beirut Ali Baris Ulusoy, Director of TIKA’s office in Lebanon Orhan Aydin, and University President Raafat Mikati.
After the opening, Ulusoy said that Tripoli witnessed today the opening of two projects that were implemented by “TIKA”.
Ulusoy pointed out that the first project is the solar energy system, which will end the electricity crisis and facilitate the study of students at the University of Tripoli.
He stated that the second project is a program that helps unemployed youth in Tripoli to acquire professions and thus ensure their employment.
