Hundreds of Palestinians attended the funeral of a young man who was killed by the Israeli army on Thursday in the southern occupied West Bank.

It was said that the funeral procession of the martyr Shawkat Khaled Awad (20 years), proceeded from the “Al-Ahly” hospital in the city of Hebron towards his hometown in the town of “Beit Ummar” north of the city.
His family took a last farewell look at his body before mourners performed the funeral prayer for him in the town’s mosque and he was buried in her cemetery.
Participants in the funeral raised the Palestinian flag and chanted slogans condemning the Israeli attacks.
On Thursday, Awad died of live bullet wounds to the head and chest, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Eyewitnesses had said at the time that clashes erupted between the Palestinians and an Israeli force following the funeral of a child killed by the Israeli army on Wednesday.
After the funeral, clashes erupted at the entrance to the town between dozens of Palestinians and the Israeli army.
