Ukrainian Staff: Russia’s losses are 16,600 soldiers and 248 fighters

The Ukrainian General Staff announced that it has cost the Russian army 16,500 soldiers, 121 fighters, 127 helicopters and 582 tanks since the war began on February 24.

In its statement on Sunday, the Ukrainian staff indicated that the Ukrainian army also destroyed 1664 armored vehicles between February 24 and March 27.

Also, 294 artillery, 93 missile systems, and 52 air defense missile systems.

According to the statement, the Ukrainian army managed to destroy 1,144 military vehicles, 7 ships and gunboats, 73 fuel vehicles and 56 drones of the Russian army.

On February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, which was followed by angry international reactions and the imposition of “tough” economic and financial sanctions on Moscow.

To end the operation, Russia requires Ukraine to abandon any plans to join military entities, including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and to adhere to complete neutrality, which Kyiv considers an “interference in its sovereignty.”
