Turkish “TIKA” distributes Ramadan aid in Fiji

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) distributed food aid to 250 families in Suva, the capital of Fiji, during the last week of Ramadan.

The aid was distributed in coordination with the Turkish Embassy in New Zealand and the Fiji Muslims Association.

The embassy said in a statement on Sunday that the association’s teams distributed the aid provided by TIKA to 250 families.

Association officials expressed their gratitude to Turkey, its embassy and TIKA for the assistance, according to the statement.

For her part, the Turkish Ambassador to New Zealand, Omur Onsai, expressed her happiness with the delivery of aid to the needy in Fiji, which is 15,000 km from Turkey.

She noted that this aid reflects the culture of sharing among the Turkish people.
