Turkish Relief continues to help flood victims in Pakistan

The Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH) continues to provide assistance to the victims of the floods that struck Pakistan last August.

The authority stated in a statement that its teams operating in the flood areas have so far provided assistance to more than 150,000 people.

The statement added that the aid provided to the victims included food parcels, hot food, detergents, blankets and shelter tents.

The statement indicated that the authority also provides care for orphans and their families in Pakistan.

Since the floods swept large areas in Pakistan last August, Turkey has sent no less than 12 planes, 4 trains, and dozens of trucks loaded with aid to those affected, according to official Turkish data.

The catastrophic floods killed 1,391 people, according to Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority.
