Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visits Lviv, Ukraine Thursday

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit the Ukrainian city of Lviv on Thursday at the invitation of his counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Turkish Presidency Communication Department said in a statement on Tuesday that President Erdogan’s working visit will last for one day.

She noted that Turkish-Ukrainian relations, which have reached the level of strategic partnership in all its aspects, will be reviewed during the meeting of Presidents Erdogan Zelensky.

She also noted that a tripartite meeting is scheduled to include United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Presidents Erdogan and Zelensky during the visit.

The tripartite meeting will discuss ways to enhance the activities of the mechanism formed to ship Ukrainian grain to world markets and the steps that can be taken in order to find a diplomatic solution to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
