The Turkish Justice and Development Party confirmed that the statements of the deputy head of its parliamentary bloc, Cahit Ozkan, about relations with the UAE, do not reflect the party’s views.

“Justice and Development” spokesman Omer Celik said in a tweet via Twitter on Sunday that Ozkan’s statements regarding relations between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates “do not reflect the views of our party.”
He stressed that relations between the two countries are advancing with the joint will of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Emirati counterpart, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the basis of mutual trust and respect.

During his participation in a television program on Saturday evening, Ozkan made statements about relations with the UAE that were not accepted in Turkish political circles.
