Turkish intelligence arrests a member of the “PKK” in northern Iraq

On Thursday, the Turkish intelligence service arrested a prominent member of the separatist organization “PKK”.

He is listed on the Red Notice for Most Wanted as he attempts to flee from northern Iraq to Europe.

A Turkish security source stated that the intelligence service had arrested a member of the terrorist organization, Jamshid Demir (his nom de guerre Beru Karker) in northern Iraq before transferring him to Turkey.

He added that Demir is listed on the Red Notice for Most Wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization “Interpol”.

He explained that the aforementioned terrorist joined the separatist organization in the Turkish “Agri” region in 2009 before moving to northern Iraq.

He revealed that Demir led PKK activities in the Kara and Qandil regions in northern Iraq before moving in 2014, and then to the organization’s headquarters in Qandil Mountain.

He stated that the intelligence service arrested the terrorist in northern Iraq while traveling to Europe.
