The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that 47 irregular migrants were rescued off the coast of the western state of Izmir.
The ministry said in a statement that it had detected a stranded rubber boat on the coast of Uzunada, Izmir.

She added that the specialized teams were able to rescue 47 migrants who were on the boat, including women and children.
