Turkish coast guard rescues 212 migrants brought back by Greece

Turkish Coast Guard crews rescued 212 irregular migrants off the coast of Izmir (west) in the Aegean Sea.

On Wednesday, it was said that Turkish teams rushed to rescue a group of migrants in early November who were on several boats.

The Greek side had forced these migrants to return to Turkish territorial waters.

The boats mentioned were off the coast of the Dikili, Cesme, and Seferihisar districts of Izmir.

After being taken ashore by coast guard boats, the migrants were referred to the state’s Directorate of Immigration.
