Turkish Aydin.. Chestnut exports increased by 79 percent

The Turkish state of Aydin’s exports of “chestnuts” during the past 11 months increased by 79 percent compared to the previous year.

According to data from the Aegean Exporters Union, western Turkey, the value of the state’s chestnut exports amounted to 23 million and 676 thousand dollars.

5 thousand and 165 tons of chestnuts were exported during the mentioned period, indicating that the share of the state’s exports amounted to 42 percent of the total chestnut exports in Turkey.

The data showed that the countries that imported the most chestnuts from Turkey were Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.
