The number of passengers on Turkish Airlines reached 56 million passengers during the first eight months of this year, an increase of 20 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The media center of Turkish Airlines said in a statement that during the first eight months of 2023, the number of flights increased by 4 points, compared to the same period last year, and amounted to 82.9 percent.
The statement pointed out that the number of transit passengers increased by 34 percent and reached 19.7 million passengers, compared to 14.7 million during the same period in 2022.

While the filling rate for foreign flights reached 82.6 percent and domestic flights 84.6 percent between January and August 2023.
The statement indicated that the number of passengers last August increased by 11 percent compared to the same month in 2022, reaching 8.7 million passengers.
It added: “While the number of transit passengers reached 2.4 million in August 2022, it increased by 20.5 percent to reach 2.9 million in the same period of this year.”
According to the statement, the number of aircraft in the Turkish Airlines fleet increased to 428 aircraft.
