Turkish “AFAD” sends 67 aid trucks to Ukraine since the war

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced that it has sent 67 aid trucks and a mobile kitchen to Ukraine since the start of the war in late February.

It added in a statement on Wednesday that Turkey continues, through its official institutions and civil society organizations, to provide various humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people.

The statement indicated that AFAD and Turkish official and civil organizations have so far sent 67 aid trucks and mobile kitchens to Ukraine.

He pointed out that the mobile kitchen continues daily to provide fresh food to civilians in the city of Lviv in western Ukraine.

In this context, the statement stated that an AFAD team continues its work to coordinate the provision of humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

On February 24, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, followed by international rejection and severe economic sanctions against Moscow.

Which requires the end of its operation for Kyiv to abandon plans to join military entities and adhere to neutrality, which the latter considers an “interference in its sovereignty.”
