Turkey’s Mugla receives 2.7 million tourists

The Turkish state of Mugla, which hosts important tourist sites, hosted 2,622,796 tourists during the first 9 months of this year.

Mugla (West), which is famous for its beautiful landscapes and ancient cities, attracts millions of tourists every year.

According to information from the Directorate of Culture and Tourism in Mugla, two million 622 thousand and 796 tourists visited the state during the first 9 months of 2022.

Britain ranked first with 1,129,603 tourists, followed by Russia with 311,261 tourists, and Germany with 187,279 tourists.

It should be noted that 908,448 tourists visited Mugla during the same period last year.

Vice-President of the Turkish Association of Hotel Operators Bulent Bulbeloglu said that British tourists make up the largest number of visitors to the state.

“Britain is a very important market for Mugla,” he added.
