Turkey’s exports to neighboring countries grow by 11.6 percent

Turkey’s exports to neighboring countries achieved a growth of 11.6 percent during the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Exporters Council, the country’s exports to Iran, Greece, Iraq, Georgia, Syria and Bulgaria during the period January-June amounted to 11 billion, 630 million and 503 thousand dollars.

Exports to neighboring countries during the same period last year were at the level of 10 billion, 419 million and 867 thousand dollars.

Iraq topped the neighboring countries with the most imports from Turkey during this period, amounting to 5 billion and 35 million and 697 thousand dollars.

Turkey’s exports in general achieved a growth of 2 percent during the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 125 billion and 446 million dollars.
