Turkey’s exports in February amounted to $18.6 billion

On Thursday, the Turkish Ministry of Trade announced that exports amounted to 18.6 billion dollars last February, despite the earthquake that struck the south of the country.

A statement issued by the ministry stated that the earthquake negatively affected the volume of exports because the 11 states affected by it constitute 8.6 percent of the country’s exports.

It stated that exports during last February decreased by 6.4 percent compared to the same month of 2022.

It noted that imports amounted to $30.8 billion in February, with energy imports accounting for 22 percent of it.
