The thickness of the snow exceeded a meter in the Kartepe Ski Center, which is one of the best winter tourism centers in Turkey due to the heavy snowfall recently.

The center is located 18 km from Kartepe district in the state of Kocaeli (northwest), 40 km from the state center, and 100 km from Istanbul.
On Wednesday, the Meteorological Department published information on snow thickness and temperatures in the country’s most important ski centers.
The information indicated that the thickness of the snow in the Kartepe centers was 101 cm, and in Kartal Kaya in the state of Bolu (northwest) 80 cm.
Nimrud in the state of Adi Yaman (southeast) is 70 cm, and Uludag in Bursa (northwest) is 65 cm.

The temperature ranged between 5 and 8 degrees below zero in Kartepe, and between 10 and 12 degrees below zero in Kartalkaya.
While it ranged between 10 and 13 below zero in “Nimrud” and 9 and 15 below zero in “Uludag”.
