On Friday, the Turkish Coast Guard rescued 17 irregular migrants off the coast of Didim, in the western state of Aydin.
This is after they were forced to return to Turkish waters by Greek forces in the Aegean Sea.
It was reported that the Turkish Coast Guard teams received a report of migrants inside a life-raft off the coast of Didim, and immediately went to the boat site.

He added, quoting security sources, that the Turkish coast guard rescued the boat 17 irregular migrants (without mentioning their nationalities), and Greek forces forced them to return to Turkish waters.
Rescue teams transferred the migrants to the Turkish mainland and referred them to the Migration Directorate in Aydin.
