Turkey… The Lavender Fields Days Festival ends

The state of Edirne, northwest of Turkey, concluded on Tuesday the activities of the fourth edition of the “Lavender Fields Days” festival, with a large crowd.

Kemal Soytürk, director of culture and tourism in the state, explained that the event attracted a large number of visitors that exceeded expectations.

He added that the festival is among the important festivals in Turkey and is included in the programs of tour operators.

Soytürk stated that the number of visitors to the festival reached 40,000 within 4 days, stressing that this interest from visitors pushes the organizers to hold bigger events next year.

Citizens flocked amid the purple color of lavender flowers to walk and take beautiful pictures during the days of the festival and followed cultural activities such as concerts.

Platforms were set up within the framework of the festival to sell local handicrafts and handicrafts, and it was noted that some visitors merging with music and dancing to its tunes.

The event concluded with dance performances by folkloric groups of the municipality of Edirne, while visitors interacted with songs and live music.
