Turkey… The arrest of 15 people suspected of belonging to ISIS

On Tuesday, the Turkish authorities arrested 11 people suspected of belonging to the terrorist organization “ISIS” in simultaneous security operations in 9 provinces.

A statement issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the capital, Ankara, stated that an arrest warrant had been issued for 14 suspected ISIS affiliations as part of the investigations conducted by the Terrorist Crimes Investigation Office.

The statement added that anti-terror teams carried out simultaneous operations in 9 states in cooperation with the Security Directorate in the capital, Ankara, and resulted in the arrest of 11 people.

It indicated that 4 binoculars and several digital devices were seized by the suspects, stressing the continuation of efforts to arrest the other suspects.

In the same context, Turkish security forces arrested 4 foreign suspects belonging to the terrorist organization “ISIS” in the central province of Kayseri.

In addition, 4 suspects were arrested, who were found to have worked for the organization in Syria and Iraq, adding that the Turkish security forces confiscated digital equipment from the suspects’ residences.
