The Sari Kum Reserve in Sinop, northern Turkey, hosts many types of birds that attract photography enthusiasts.
The reserve, which extends over an area of 489 hectares, is 21 km from the center of Sinop and is a breeding station for many types of birds.

The reserve, which enjoys stunning natural beauty, has recently become one of the favorite destinations for bird watchers.
The reserve, in the middle of a lake, includes points dedicated to monitoring birds in the area.
Founding member of the “Wildlife” Association in Turkey, Mehmet Barkay Oz Unlu, said that the state of Sinop has rich water and forests and provides a suitable environment for birds to live.
He noted that he constantly encounters species he has never seen before in the reserve, in which all forms of hunting are prohibited.

He expected that the number of bird species living in the reserve exceeds 250 species.
