Turkey set a record for machinery exports during the year 2022, the highest ever, at $25.3 billion.
According to data from the Machinery Exporters Union in Turkey, the sector continues to set records in its exports, achieving an increase of 9.6 percent compared to 2021.
In terms of importing countries, Germany topped the list with $2.9 billion, followed by the United States with $1.5 billion, then Russia with $1.3 million.

The head of the Machinery Exporters Association, Kutlu Karaulioglu, said that Turkey achieved a high growth in investment in equipment and machinery, at a rate of 13 percent in 2022, exceeding the global average.
He explained that investment in equipment and machinery increased globally by 5.2 percent during the year 2022, and that the production of the machinery industry increased by 4 percent.
