Turkey… Rescued 50 irregular migrants forced by Greece to return

On Tuesday, the Turkish Coast Guard rescued 50 irregular migrants in the west of the country after they were forced back to Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces in the Aegean Sea.

The Turkish Coast Guard received a report about migrants inside a rubber boat and a life raft off the coasts of the cities of Bodrum and Dalaman in the state of Mugla (west), so its teams immediately went to the two sites.

He added that the Turkish Coast Guard rescued 50 irregular migrants at the two sites (without mentioning their nationalities), who were forced by Greek forces to return to Turkish waters.

Rescue teams transferred the migrants to the Turkish mainland, and referred them to the Directorate of Immigration in the aforementioned states.
