Turkey received more than one million cruise passengers in the first nine months of this year, an increase of 54.1 percent over last year.
According to data from the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs, the number of tourists and passengers on cruises reached 1,97,175.
The number of cruise ships during the aforementioned period reached 876, an increase of 16.5 percent compared to last year.
Cruise tourism in Turkey is witnessing significant growth, as efforts in this sector to develop cruise tourism are beginning to bear fruit, as evidenced by the increasing number of cruise passengers arriving in the country.
