The Turkish Ministry of Defense offered condolences for the martyrdom of 50 Azerbaijani soldiers during the border clashes that erupted following Armenian provocations.

“We offer our condolences to the brotherly Azerbaijani people for the martyrdom of our heroic soldiers in the Azerbaijani army following the border clashes with Armenia, and we wish a speedy recovery for the wounded,” she said in a message posted on Twitter.
“Armenia must completely abandon its provocative and aggressive stance that has been going on for years and take the hand of peace extended to it as an opportunity,” she added.
The ministry stressed that Turkey was and will continue to stand by the sisterly Azerbaijan.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced the death of 50 soldiers in the border clashes that erupted following Armenian provocations.
And yesterday, Monday, the ministry announced the outbreak of intense border clashes as a result of provocations from the Armenian side.
It noted in a statement that the Azerbaijani army, in turn, took the necessary measures to silence the Armenian sources of fire and prevent the expansion of clashes.

It confirmed that the Armenian forces participating in the provocative operations incurred losses in life and equipment.
