193,564 children are receiving the teaching of the Holy Qur’an in courses held by the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs during the academic year 2022-2023.
Sources from the Presidency of Religious Affairs said on Saturday that the Koran courses for the age group 4-6 years organized by the state muftis in all parts of Turkey are continuing.
The sources added that during the academic year 2022-2023, 193,564 students will continue their education in these courses.

The sources stated that 168,439 children received Holy Quran courses during the past academic year 2021-2022.
The sources pointed out that students who obtained a certificate for the “Child Development and Education Program in the Pre-School Stage”, established in cooperation between the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of National Education, are serving in the Holy Quran courses.
The sources pointed out that the children participating in the Quran courses also learn the basic values of the Islamic religion such as love, respect, cooperation, benevolence, justice, responsibility, honesty and patience.
