Turkey’s machinery industry exports increased by 11 percent in 2023 compared to 2022 to reach $28.1 billion.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Machinery Exporters Union, Adnan Dalga Kayran, explained on Sunday that investments in the machinery and equipment sector have witnessed continuous growth over 16 consecutive quarters.
Dalga added that the continued growth enhances the export goal for the current year, which is $30 billion, despite the recession in Europe.
Dalga stated that the machinery sector broke a record value of $25.5 billion in 2022, and that despite the Corona pandemic, the sector’s exports increased by approximately 75 percent in the past five years.
