Turkey launches Operation “Arn Winter-12” against the “PKK”

On Wednesday, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced the launch of Operation Winter-12 against the PKK terrorist organization in the eastern Van province of the country.

The ministry said in a statement that the operation aims to neutralize the terrorists in Mount Tandoork in the state and remove the PKK from the country’s agenda.

She indicated the participation of 450 personnel and 41 teams from the gendarmerie forces, special forces, and security guards in the operation.

She added, “Operations Arn Winter, aimed at eliminating terrorism completely inside the country, are continuing successfully and resolutely with the support of the people.”

The Turkish Interior Ministry launched a series of “ARN” operations against the PKK terrorist organization on January 10.

The name “Arn” was given to these operations in relation to the Turkish boy “Arn Bulbul”, who was martyred at the hands of PKK terrorists on August 11, 2017.
