Turkey launches new security operation against PKK

On Saturday, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced the launch of a new security operation against the PKK terrorist organization, dubbed “Operation Arn Winter – 11”, in the southeast of the country.

The ministry said in a statement that it launched the new operation in the provinces of Diyarbakir and Mush, as part of its efforts to eliminate the terrorist organization.

She added that about 1,300 security personnel and 84 teams of gendarmerie forces, special forces and security guards are participating in the operation.

She stressed that the “ARN” winter security operations aimed at uprooting the PKK terrorist organization from all over the Turkish lands, are continuing resolutely and successfully with the support of the Turkish people.

The Turkish Interior Ministry launched a series of “ARN” operations against the PKK terrorist organization on January 10.

The name “ARN” was given to these operations in relation to the Turkish boy “ARN Bulbul”, who was martyred at the hands of PKK terrorists on August 11, 2017.
