On Tuesday, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced the launch of a new security operation against the PKK terrorist organization, “Operation Arn Winter-13” in the southeast of the country.

The ministry said in a statement that it launched the new operation in the Wilayat of Sirnak as part of its efforts to eliminate the terrorist organization.
She added that about 559 security personnel from the gendarmerie forces, special forces and security guards are participating in the operation.
She stressed that the “ARN” winter security operations aimed at uprooting the PKK organization from all over the Turkish territories are continuing resolutely and successfully with the support of the Turkish people.
