Turkey: Exports rose 3.5 percent in January

Turkey’s exports last January recorded an increase of 3.5 percent compared to the same month last year, and amounted to 19 billion and 991 million dollars.

Foreign trade data issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority and the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday showed a 22 percent decrease in imports in the same month, reaching 26 billion and 218 million dollars.

The data indicated that the foreign trade deficit decreased by 56.4 percent in January 2024 compared to the same month in 2023, reaching $6 billion and 227 million.
