Turkey earns $129 million from cherry exports

Turkey’s revenue from cherry exports reached $129 million during the first half of this year.

The state of Manisa (west) is at the forefront of the states that export the most cherries, whose picking season begins in May of each year.

According to data from the Aegean Exporters Union in Turkey, cherry exports in the country amounted to 55 thousand tons during the first half of this year.

Russia ranked first among the countries importing Turkish cherries with $54 million, followed by Germany with $45 million, and Norway with $6 million.
