On Tuesday, the Turkish Official Gazette published a decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan under which the state will pay the tuition fees for master’s and doctoral students who or their families reside in the Palestinian Gaza Strip.
This came after adding a temporary clause to the presidential decision regarding determining the tuition fees and subscription fees that will be collected as a contribution from the student to the costs of educational service within higher education institutions for the academic year 2023-2024.
On November 17, the Official Gazette published a presidential decision stipulating that the state will bear the tuition fees for university students who are continuing their education in one of the public university education institutions and who or their families reside in the Gaza Strip.
