The Turkish authorities have arrested 20 suspects of belonging to the PKK terrorist organization in the southeastern province of Mardin.
The State Security Directorate said in a statement on Monday that the counter-terrorism directorates and the Special Operations and Intelligence Branch coordinated with each other to uncover the activities of PKK terrorists.
She explained that digital documents seized during operations against members of the terrorist organization were reviewed.
She pointed to the implementation of a simultaneous operation against people found to be linked to the terrorist organization, their participation in its activities, their cooperation with it and its propaganda through social media.
She stated that the operation resulted in the arrest of 20 suspects and the confiscation of light weapons and digital materials from their places of residence.
She pointed out that the procedures in the State Security Directorate are still ongoing against the suspects.
