Turkey announces the bringing of a PKK leader from Syria


The Turkish security services brought one of the leaders of the separatist PKK organization from Syria into the country.


And the southern province of Gaziantep stated in a statement Thursday that the gendarmerie teams were able to identify one of the organization’s leaders who wanted to defect after assuming several tasks within the organization until he reached the so-called “commander.”

She explained that the gendarmerie teams developed a plan that ended with persuading the terrorist to surrender to the Turkish security forces on the Syrian border.

She added that the aforementioned person was involved in many terrorist activities of the organization inside Turkey in 2015.


She pointed out that the state’s Magistrate’s and Penal Court ruled that the terrorist be imprisoned pending investigation.
