The “Astoria Grand” cruise ship docked in the northern Turkish port of Trabzon with 502 Russian tourists on board.
The tourists were received by the state’s Director of Culture and Tourism, Tamer Erdogan, and the Director of Trabzon Ports, Muzaffer Armish.
Russian tourists were greeted by folk songs and traditional artistic performances.

After the reception ceremony, the tourists visited the archaeological sites in the city of Trabzon.
In an interview with reporters, Erdogan said that the goal of the state is to stimulate tourism throughout the year.
The Trabzon Tourism Directorate intends to attract travel and tourism agencies and influencers on social media in order to introduce the state of Trabzon.
He pointed out that the state of Trabzon has received 40 cruise ships since 2017, despite the halt in tourism due to the coronavirus pandemic.
