Turkey: 13 grain ships depart from the ports of Ukraine

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that 13 ships loaded with grain have departed from Ukraine’s ports during the last three days.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry indicated that more than 5.5 million tons of grain were shipped from Ukrainian ports in two months.

And confirmed that shipments continue safely as planned.

“Another 13 ships loaded with grain have left the Ukrainian ports in the last three days,” she said.

On July 22, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations signed the “Document on the Initiative for the Safe Shipping of Grain and Foodstuffs from Ukrainian Ports” during a meeting hosted by Istanbul.

The agreement included securing exports of grain stuck in the Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea (Eastern Europe) to the world.
