Sources stated that the US State Department conveyed its decision regarding the sale of F-16 fighters to Turkey and the modernization of aircraft of the same type in Ankara to the chairman and members of the relevant senior committees in the House of Representatives and the Senate for preliminary examination.
According to the sources, the US State Department is expected to officially announce next week that it has referred its decision to Congress.
