The Turkish Religious Endowment is preparing to open 15 wells in Benin during the holy month of Ramadan.

This comes within the framework of the “Life Drop” project launched by the Turkish Religious Endowment to provide drinking water to oppressed and poor areas.

In a statement on Saturday, Benin Endowment official Ahmed Hamdi Yamenoglu said the endowment will open 15 wells in different parts of the country.

Yemenoglu explained that between 5,000 and 15,000 people will benefit from each well.

“We will ensure that between 100,000 and 150,000 people have access to clean and usable water” through wells, he added.

The Turkish Religious Endowment was established on March 13, 1975, and it belongs to the Presidency of Religious Affairs, and it has many branches inside the country, and it provides various services in 135 countries.
