The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the martyrdom of two security personnel in the area of Operation “Claw of Thunderbolt” in northern Iraq.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the two members were martyred as a result of an attack carried out by PKK terrorists in the area of the operation.

The ministry called for mercy to the two martyrs and expressed its condolences to their families, the armed forces and the Turkish people.
On April 23, 2021, Turkey launched operations “Claw of Lightning” and “Claw of Thunderbolt” simultaneously against PKK terrorists in the areas of “Matina” and “Afshin-Basian”, in northern Iraq.
