Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Manqush offered her condolences to her Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, over the victims of a mine explosion in northern Turkey.

This came in a telephone conversation with Çavuşoğlu, according to a statement published by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Sunday.
The ministry said that al-Manqush offered its condolences to Çavuşoğlu over the mine explosion in the Turkish state of Barten.
And on Saturday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the death toll from the Barton mine explosion had risen to 41.

Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said that preliminary investigations showed that the explosion that occurred Friday was caused by a gas leak.
