The Emir of Kuwait sends a telegram to President Erdogan

The Emir of Kuwait, Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Wednesday expressed his gratitude and thanks to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the good reception and hospitality he and members of the delegation accompanying him received, in addition to awarding him the “State Medal.”

This came in a telegram sent by Prince Mishal to Erdogan at the conclusion of the prince’s state visit to Ankara on Tuesday, the text of which was published by the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA.

The telegram stated: “His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the friendly Republic of Turkey, as we leave the friendly Republic of Turkey after a state visit, we are pleased to express to Your Excellency our deep appreciation and gratitude for the good reception and generous hospitality we and the members of the accompanying delegation received, which reflected the depth of the close historical ties and the deep-rooted friendship between them.” Our two friendly countries and peoples.”

The Emir of Kuwait stressed that his visit to Ankara “enhances the prospects for constructive cooperation between our two friendly countries in all areas and fields, in order to achieve their common goals and mutual interests, and meet the hopes and aspirations of our two generous peoples towards further development and prosperity.”

He expressed the Turkish President’s “deepest thanks and gratitude” for awarding him the State Medal.

He stressed his pride in the high award, praising President Erdogan’s initiative, which “reflects the depth of the partnership and friendship between our two friendly countries,” according to the cable.

The Emir of Kuwait wished Erdogan “good health and complete well-being, wishing the Turkish Republic and its friendly people continued progress and prosperity.”

On Tuesday, President Erdogan awarded the Emir of Kuwait with the state medal in the capital, Ankara. The honoring ceremony took place in the presidential complex after the playing of the two countries’ anthems.

The Turkish Presidency’s Communications Department explained in a statement on Tuesday that the visit of the Emir of Kuwait to Turkey comes on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

It indicated that the visit discussed the economic and trade relations between the two countries in detail during the meeting between the two leaders, during which 6 agreements were concluded between the two countries.
