Security teams in the northwestern Turkish state of Duzce seized a large number of antiquities, including smuggled coins.

This came during an operation carried out by the Directorate of Combating Smuggling and Organized Crime in Akca Koca District on Friday.
It was said that the operation took place after the Directorate received a report of a person smuggling antiquities.
Security teams arrested the accused and seized 419 coins and 174 other antiquities at his place of residence and his car.

The arrested was referred to the Palace of Justice after the completion of his procedures in the Directorate of Security in the state to appear before the court.
