President Biden heads to Kentucky, where the hurricane disaster


US President Joe Biden made a statement to reporters before his meeting with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Majorca and other emergency officials regarding the hurricane disaster in the Oval Office.


Noting that he will visit Kentucky on Wednesday, Biden said they are ready for all kinds of help at the federal level.

According to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), at least 24 tornadoes occurred Friday in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee.

Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir announced that the confirmed death toll from the hurricane disaster has reached 64, and that search efforts by rescue teams are continuing.
