Operation AREN-Siege 12 launched against the PKK in southern Turkey

The Turkish Interior Ministry launched Operation AREN-Siege 12 against the PKK terrorist organization in the southern province of Hatay.

In a statement on Friday, the ministry said that 887 security personnel are participating in the operation taking place in the Al-Amanus Mountains area in Hatay.

The Ministry of the Interior began a series of “ARN” operations against the terrorist “PKK” in January 2021, after the end of the “Thunderbolt” operations.

It is noteworthy that the name “Arn” was given to these operations in relation to the Turkish young man, “Arn Bulbul”, who was martyred at the hands of PKK terrorists on August 11, 2017.
