Northern Cyprus offers condolences to Turkey for the soldiers in northern Iraq

The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Arsene Tatar, offered his condolences to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, over the martyrdom of 3 Turkish soldiers in the area of ​​Operation Claw of Thunderbolt in northern Iraq.

According to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic of Northern Cyprus on Tuesday, Tatar sent a message of condolence to the Turkish President, condemning the terrorist attack.

Tatar added: “I hope Turkey will get rid of the treacherous terrorist attacks as soon as possible. Your pain is our pain.”

He explained that he received with deep sadness the news of the martyrdom of 3 soldiers and the injury of two others.

This was due to the explosion of an explosive device planted by PKK terrorists in the area of ​​Operation Claw of Lightning in northern Iraq.

He also expressed his grief in another context due to the fires and floods that occurred in Turkey.

Tatar has mercy on the victims of terrorism and natural disasters, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

On April 23, Turkey launched the “Lightning” and “Thunderbolt” operations simultaneously against the PKK terrorists in the areas of “Matina” and “Afshin-Basyan” in northern Iraq.
