NewYork.. “Turkish House” organizes an event about the coup attempt

The “Turkish House” in New York on Friday organized an event about the failed coup attempt, during which it introduced the Gulen terrorist organization responsible for its implementation.

The Turkish Permanent Mission to the United Nations, the Turkish Consulate in New York, and the Consulate’s cultural attaché cooperated in organizing the event.

The event was attended by a large number of foreign diplomats and representatives of the communities, as it included information, photos and videos about the failed coup attempt carried out by the terrorist organization on the night of July 15, 2016.

The Turkish Consul in New York, Reyhan Ozgur, said that the Gulen organization still poses a threat to Turkey and the international community.

He called on the international community to cooperate with Turkey in combating the organization, which is implicated in numerous charges such as money and weapons smuggling.

He called on the United States to return the organization’s leader, Fethullah Gulen, who resides in Pennsylvania, to Turkey.

On July 15, 2016, Turkey witnessed a coup attempt carried out by limited elements of the army affiliated with the “FETO” terrorist organization.

It was met with massive popular protests in most cities and states, forcing the putschists to withdraw their military vehicles from the cities and thwarting their plan.
